Everyone wants to know why we do what we do? What motivates us to keep going? Mostly it is our clients! Everything we do at DuMolin Community Living serves a purpose and our main focus is serving our clients in the best way that we can. How can we tell we are doing our jobs right? The smiles on people's faces. The full and enriched lives. The way our residents fill spaces in our hearts normally reserved for relatives. We do what we do because it is what we would do for our own flesh and blood.
Community is defined as a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. At DuMolin Community Living we actively promote the actions and events necessary to foster that feeling of community with our residents as well as our staff. We host pool parties, holiday festivities and birthday parties, coordinate group outings, attend dances and encourage clients to participate in non-affiliated art exhibits in their own communities. We feel strongly that our residents deserve a full life and that includes a strong sense of belonging.
